Airdrie Public Library
Designed & Made in Canada

This children's library area is built around a row of open birch house frames and trees. The house frames outline cozy spots for reading and play without closing anything in, so kids feel tucked away while staff and parents can still see across the room. Birch trees wrap the building's columns, turning the structure into part of the story.

Look closely and you'll find little blue sparrows perched on the branches, inspired by the home sparrows found around Airdrie. A low play table with a painted road map and soft seating fill in the space between the frames. Every piece of custom library millwork was designed and built in our Ontario shop, working alongside GGA Architecture for the Airdrie Public Library in Alberta.
