Home Playrooms and Play Lofts

A play structure built into a house should look like it belongs to the house — not a plastic frame in the corner of a nice room. We build custom play lofts, structures and furniture for private homes, drawn to the room's proportions, materials and light rather than ordered to fit.

Why a custom playroom is different

Drawn to the room

The piece is designed to your proportions, materials and light, so it reads as part of the architecture.

Fits the way you live

Scaled to the room and to the children who use it, so it works as furniture as well as play.

Built to grow with the child

Wood, not plastic. We keep the CNC files, so a part can be remade or adapted later.

Made in Ontario, installed by us

Fabricated in our own shop in Moorefield and installed by our own crew.

Questions we get asked

How does a project usually start?

Both ways. Operators, owners and developers come to us for the design and the build, and we start from scratch. Designers and architects bring us a concept, and we develop it with them through fabrication and installation.

Where do you build and install?

Everything is fabricated in our own shop at 76 McGivern St, Moorefield, Ontario, and installed by our own crew. We install across Canada, into the United States, and internationally.

What does a project cost?

Projects range from $25,000 to $2 million depending on scope and size. A single feature structure sits at the low end; a full multi-room build at the high end. We'll give you a concept and a working number early, so you have something real to take to a board or a client.

How long does a project take?

A project runs concept design, detailed design, fabrication and installation, with dedicated time at each stage. Timelines vary with the complexity of the build, and you get a schedule once the detailed design is settled.

Do you work directly with homeowners?

Yes. We also work alongside a family's interior designer or architect when there is one. Either way the piece is drawn to the room's proportions and materials, and we can develop it with you from a concept sketch.

Can a loft change as children grow?

We build in wood and keep the CNC files, so a part can be remade or adapted rather than replaced.
